Studied fine arts in Vienna (Sommerer) and Angouleme (Mignonneau),
then they studied their post-graduate program together at the Institute
for New Media at the Staedelschule Frankfurt/M. Artists in Residence at
the National Center for Supercomputing Application in Urbana (USA) und
at the InterCommunication Center in Tokyo. They now work as Artistic Directors
and Researchers at ATR Media Integration and Communications Research Laboratores
in Kyoto. They organized the "ART-Science-ATR" Symposium in
Kyoto and edited the book "Art@Science"
(Vienna, New York 1997). Christa Sommerer is Associate Professor and Laurent
Mignonneau Lecturer at the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences
