born in, Adelaïde, Australia, in 1957, lives in London. Since 1976 he has worked as an artist, and has been using computers since 1978, when he invented a graphic computer system. He has been working on digital animations since 1980 and since 1983 has focussed on interactive installations, animations, cd-roms, internet and related media. Since 1999 Biggs has been a professor at the Art and Design Research Centre, School of Cultural Studies, Sheffield Hallam University. Since 1978, he has had numerous personal exhibitions in Australia, Germany, England, Holland, New Zealand, and Slovenia. His latest catalogue: "Immediate!", Site Gallery, Sheffield.
